Bishop Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza blessed the new English-medium school building. The stage programme began with a welcome dance by the students. Fr Cyprian Pinto welcomed the gathering.
Addressing the gathering, the Bishop said that the Loretto school has delivered quality education and attained good result. He also praised the service of the staff towards the school.

Ronald Gomes, editor of the school souvenir ‘Sadi Rashmi’ briefed on the book, which was released by secretary of the Mangalore diocese Catholic board Fr Wilson D’Souza. Sr Agatha Mary felicitated the present and past school headmistreses for their service to the school. Vivian Tauro was also felicitated for his achievements in the athletic field. Bantwal MLA B Ramanath Rai felicitated the donor of the building and expressed his gratitude to the people.

Prizes were distributed to the students who excelled in academics as well as in sports and cultural activities. Building contractor and others who were involved in the project were honoured on the occasion. The function ended with a cultural programme by the students.
